Support our Mission

We are filled with appreciation for the impact of our programs which are made possible by the generosity of so many.

In the last year we have:

  • Connected with an estimated 7,650 people through both our outreach and education activities and through our direct service programs with the support of 100 active volunteers giving an estimated 6,500 hours.

  • Collaborated with 37 other island organizations - that is 11 more than last year!

  • Installed a mounting ramp and mechanical lift to improve access for individuals with mobility impairments.

  • Nominated the wise elder of our equine herd, Noble, as the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Equine of the Year and he WON the national award!

It is clear that Misty Meadows provides a connecting point, and many opportunities to discover new ways to feel supported and empowered, through relationships with horses and each other.

In the words of our partners…..

“I witnessed the magic of Misty Meadows’ programming through a presentation by middle school multilingual learners this spring,” said Leah Palmer, ELL Director Pre-K-Adult, Martha’s Vineyard Public Schools. “Their teacher said how incredibly proud she was of the growth in language development and confidence she has seen in these students through their experience at Misty Meadows.”

Our commitment to remaining affordable and accessible to all of our students and partners, while also being responsible caretakers of our herd and farm, requires diligent stewardship.  This is only sustainable with your support.  The impact of your gift is magnified by the impressive number of connections we have formed to support the wellbeing of our island community through the power of Equine Assisted Services.
