Sofia is a MA licensed instructor, who since discovering the magic of Misty Meadows is also working towards her PATH CTRI (Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor) qualification.
Sofia grew up in Nottinghamshire in the English countryside, with strong family ties here on Martha’s Vineyard. After starting riding lessons at the age of four, she had three horses growing up, competing in a variety of disciplines such as dressage, jumping and eventing. Sofia worked with sports horses in racing, eventing, showjumping, and western reining from the age of seventeen, travelling around Europe and the USA. She graduated college in 2013 after studying both English Literature and History, and spent the following years teaching riding on Martha’s Vineyard in between competition seasons, until settling here year-round in 2019. She now lives here with her husband, dog, and two horses.
