Alysa McDaniel Emden is an attorney specializing in the taxation of nonprofit organizations. Retired from active practice, she currently serves on the boards of several Island nonprofits, including the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society and Martha’s Vineyard Garden Club, and is a long-time volunteer with Island Grown Initiative and BiodiversityWorks. She lives with her husband, two daughters and two basset hounds in Chilmark and Sarasota.
