Howard Goldstein

Howard Goldstein is the Managing Partner of Cortlandt Private Capital. He is a seasoned venture capitalist with close to four decades of investment experience having worked with Vedanta Capital (Founding Partner and Senior Advisor), INVESCO, Citicorp and Lehman Brothers. During his tenure, the firms made over 300 investments including Alkermes, Amgen, Celgene, Costco, Jamba Juice, Masimo, MetroPCS, PetSmart, PictureTel, Polycom, Starbucks, Staples and Ulta Beauty.

Howard has served on the boards of numerous companies. He currently serves on the boards of BlackBoiler and d2i. Howard earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where he received the American Jurisprudence Award and The Honorable Nathan R. Sobel prize. He received a B.A. with honors from Clark University. Howard has been very active in numerous philanthropic and community service activities over the last 20 years including currently serving as: a board and finance committee member of Martha's Vineyard Community Services, the board treasurer of Volunteer Ventures MA, a finance committee member for the town of Aquinnah as well as the Island Housing Trust of Martha’s Vineyard and an investment committee member of BluePath Service Dogs and Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center.

He has previously served as a board member and board chair of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, a member of the Audit and Finance Committee of the National Board of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of America, a board member and vice president of The H.O.P.E. For Youth Foundation, an advisory board member of the Westchester Community Foundation and a board member of the New YorkPresbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital.

Howard and Neva have been volunteer camp counselors at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for critically ill children. They have two grown children, Rebecca and Jesse, and split their time between Martha's Vineyard and Manhattan.
