Donna is an accomplished nonprofit professional with 25+ years of experience dedicated to improving the effectiveness of programs and policies that impact young children. After advocating for children and their families for her entire career she is thrilled to turn her attention to horses. Donna started at Misty Meadows as a rider and experienced the magic of Misty firsthand.  Donna rode as a child and owned a horse while in high school, but she had never experienced a barn culture with a deeply wholistic focus on the physical and emotional well-being of the herd. She was immediately inspired to help and began her volunteer service by writing grants with a goal of bringing attention to the work of Misty as well as raising funds to ensure its continuity. Donna is honored to join the Board of Directors and looks forward to sharing the magic of Misty Meadows with her island community.
